All ready for summer 2017

The long awaited busy summer period is now upon us and we are all ready for the challenge. Over the winter we have been working tirelessly to ensure our customers are set to receive the best quality of equipment and service. We have invested heavily in replacing old stock and repaired any minor damages to other stock items.

We have also had some new staff additions to the team recently including new drivers and site staff that have been trained over the last few months ready to help with the high demand of the summer.
We still have availability and capacity for most weekends of the summer so it is certainly not too late to give us a call to see if we are able to help with your requirements.

2016…Another successful season for Monaco

Now that the nights are drawing in we finally have time to reflect on what has been once again our most successful summer to date. We managed to beat last year’s sales and have had amazing feedback about the quality of our work from our customers. We are crediting this year’s success to a few important factors; number one being the amazing team that we have assembled. We would like to thank Sam, our head of field operations as well as Craig, Gary and Geoff who have been running our sites. Our part time summer staff have also made a huge contribution and we very much hope that they will be able to return next summer.

Our outstandingly efficient office staff; Sophie and Megan, have once again excelled in providing support to our clients, as well as organising transport logistics and tackling many other difficult tasks. We would like to thank both of them for their continued loyalty.

Our warehouse team Karen and Lisa have also played a huge part in the success of 2016 ensuring that the quality of equipment is up to our high standards and preparing loads for the site teams.

This year is also the first time we had an opportunity to use our brand new 15m wide marquees. This allowed us to tender for much bigger events which in turn increased turnover and has put us in good stead for the quiet periods over the winter.

We would like to thank all of our team, customers and suppliers for their support and we look forward to planning for a busy 2017.

Investing in Quality

We are proud to announce we have recently taken delivery of a brand new industrial washing machine and dryer. The main use of the machines will be to ensure our marquee linings are going out spotless for every single event. In previous years we have relied on an external company to do all of the laundry for the business, doing this however caused problems with availability of the linings as it took 4 days to get them picked up, cleaned and returned to us.

One of the most important aspects to us as a business is the cleanliness of our hire items and we are absolutely sure that investing in our own machines puts us ahead of our competition in this department. We know from experience that other companies will ignore the need to, or in some instances not ever clean their linings due to availability problems and cost. We now clean our linings when they are returned from an event every time they are used.

We are eagerly looking forward to the forthcoming summer and early signs are showing we will be nice and busy. The washing machine and dryer have given us complete confidence that we will be producing the very best in quality for our customers.

Monaco Opens Second Branch in Berkshire

We are proud to announce that we recently opened a second branch in Reading, Berkshire. Our services in Reading and the surrounding areas have been in high demand for the past few years so the decision to open up a second branch there was a natural one. Having the depot will help us cut delivery costs when servicing the area as well as shortening reaction times for our clients.

Since opening the branch last month we have seen a steady increase in the enquiries in the Berkshire area and we have taken on more bookings in the county than ever before.

One of my roles within the business is to conduct site surveys which allows me to view the ground where the marquees are to be erected and also gives me a wonderful opportunity to meet our clients before they book. Having the office in Reading has been a real blessing for me, as it has massively reduced travelling time between Berkshire and our current head office in Surrey.

Over the next year we hope to grow our depot in Reading to be an independent branch without the assistance of our larger Surrey office. At the moment it isn’t possible to man the depot during all of the working hours so unfortunately we are unable to offer unscheduled visits from our customers, however this is something we will be concentrating on in the forthcoming months.

We would like to thank all of our customers in the Berkshire and Reading areas who have trusted us with their events and have made it possible to explore this new venture. We are all looking forward to forming new relationships and striving towards replicating the success of our first branch.

Monaco Celebrate 10 Year Anniversay

On 1st March 2015 Monaco Events celebrated their 10th anniversary of trading by hosting an evening to remember in a beautifully dressed marquee in Walton on Thames.

A host of people attended from friends and family of myself and Paul as well as current and past staff members, suppliers and a variety of valued clients. It was a wonderful opportunity for all of us at Monaco to reflect on the last 10 years to remember how far the company has come from its humble beginnings. Laughs were shared between colleagues remembering the good times that the last decade has served us.

The evening was concluded by gifts being presented to our two longest serving members of staff Sam Workman and Sophie Harper to thank them for their loyal service and hard work.IMG_0382A surprise presentation then followed as Sam and Sophie revealed a beautiful engraved glass trophy to us which was accompanied by a heart felt speech. It was an emotional end to a first class evening.

We would like to thank everyone who has made the last 10 years possible, all of our wonderful staff who work so hard, our customers who trust us with events of such huge importance and all our trusted business partners who have helped us over the years.

We now look forward to the next 10 years and we will endeavour to make them as memorable as the last. We are constantly finding new ways to improve our service and standards and very much hope that we will be able to create memorable events for so many new customers.

A Reflection on 2014

As our busy summer season is now behind us to we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers for trusting us with their big days, birthdays and other celebrations.

We had a fantastic summer and met some amazing, fun people along the way. We had a fantastic crew working hard all summer and we would like to wish all the staff that have moved on to pastures new every success in the future and very much hope we will be seeing them next summer.

The summer of 2014 has been Monaco’s most successful ever season. We believe this to be because the general improvement of the British economy has given our customers the confidence to celebrate the events that are important to them with a little more style.

We also have been fortunate with the weather this year resulting in more people having summer bashes and garden parties.

We have also seen an increase in business gained from word of mouth, recommendations and repeat clients which is incredibly rewarding and satisfying knowing that our customers are speaking our praises. We would like to say a special thank you to everyone who has passed our details on and told their friends and families about us.

Now we are gearing up for the busy festive period, the heaters have been serviced and tested and the field team are doing a fantastic job working in cold conditions and in dark gloomy weather to provide outstanding winter marquees.

Monaco Welcomes its New Summer Crew and Prepares for the Year Ahead

With the season now well under way we are close to completing our summer team. We would like to say a huge welcome to Shaun, Matt, Gary, Johnny and Tom who have joined our onsite team. We would also like to welcome Megan who has recently started her apprenticeship with us along side the office team.

Early indications show that we will be a having our busiest year to date so we would like to thank all of our customers who have trusted us to supply the marquee for their event. It certainly seems as though 2014 is one for the romantics as our wedding team are seeing an increase in bookings for the year to come.

To cope with the increase in bookings we are pleased to announce that we have recently purchased three brand new vehicles and have made several new additions to our marquee stock. We have also made a significant investment to replace old stock to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.

Monaco are Awarded MUTA Accreditation

We are extremely proud to announce that we have been accepted onto the MUTA accreditation scheme. MUTA is a trade association that regulates the marquee industry in terms of health and safety practises and overall quality of business.

Being MUTA accredited gives our customers total piece of mind that the marquee that is been delivered is of sound quality and has been tested to ensure the safety of your guests. It also ensures that the staff erecting the marquee have been properly trained and are following guidelines recommended by MUTA.

MUTA are the only government recognised trade association for the marquee industry, being a member gives the company a responsibility to follow a code of conduct and to ensure that all necessary precautions are taking place.

Standards are enforced by a series of spot checks on site where the marquees are being erected and by visits to the company’s premises. Constant checks on vital paperwork such as insurance policies, risk assessments and health and safety procedures also play an important role in MUTAs commitment to ensuring quality of work.

Monaco Marquees Secures new Warehouse Premises in Surrey

Monaco Marquees are extremely proud to announce that they have signed on the dotted line securing a much larger premises in West Molesey, Surrey. The extra space means that we are able to store a larger product range for our clients as well as improving our in house maintenance of the marquees and accessories.

The new warehouse will also facilitate a Marquee showroom giving our customers the opportunity to see the products that they are going to be hiring from us as well as providing inspiration for their event.
